DeLinda Forsythe

CEO | Founder

DeLinda is the founder and CEO of ICE.  DeLinda started ICE from a home office in 2006 with a goal to help support her son’s educational goals. Since its inception, ICE has specified, sold and installed over $120 million in furniture with a focus on customization, hospitality and locally made furniture as well as traditional furniture for the office environment.

In 2018 ICE relocated to a nature oriented new showroom in Sorrento Valley to better reflect the ever evolving workplace.  Today’s work environment is driven by technological changes and generational shifts that embrace creativity, collaboration and play.  Our physical spaces must provide a sense of place and community. The #1 leadership competency required today to inspire digital natives is a sense of creativity and DeLinda as CEO drives this effort.

DeLinda has served the San Diego design community as Co-Chair of IIDA 2008-2010 and NeoConnect co-chair 2009-2013.  Her work and coverage of the furniture industry has been published in the San Diego Business Journal, Monday Morning Quarterback and the San Diego Daily Transcript. DeLinda is very committed to the San Diego community, volunteering and fund raising for numerous organizations including the Military Outreach Ministry, TERI, ULI, NAIOP and Reality Changers.  She serves on the Foundation Boards for SDEDC and NAIOP. She also raises funds, awareness and is a board member of TranscenDANCE, a non-profit organization that supports underserved youth through dance.

In recognition of her excellence in the industry, DeLinda and ICE have received numerous industry awards over the years, including the 2016 Calibre for the Music Box and the 2018 Calibre award for The Aventine, both Gensler projects.  The San Diego Business Journal has noted ICE as one of the top 100 Fastest Growing Companies in San Diego from 2013 to 2018. Additionally, ICE has made the Inc. 5000 list 2014-2018. DeLinda has been nominated as a San Diego Women Who Mean Business recipient from 2012-2016 and won the prestigious award in 2015.

The inspiration behind ICE remains the goals of the next generation. DeLinda continues to actively mentor many young professionals both through ICE and outside of ICE.  She is passionate about family and enjoys time with her husband, children and grandchildren. DeLinda’s first profession was as a dancer and her first dance job was in a family circus in Costa Rica, performing in a bull fighting arena.  She brings this sense of adventure, joy of life and compassion for others to everything she encounters.
