DeLinda Forsythe is the founder and CEO of ICE. DeLinda holds a BFA from UC Irvine. In recognition of her excellence in the industry, DeLinda has received numerous industry awards over the years, including the 2016 Calibre for the Music Box (along with Gensler) and the 2015 SDBJ Women Who Mean Business award. From 2013 to 2016, ICE was listed in the San Diego Business Journal's top 100 fastest growing companies. Additionally, ICE has made the Inc. 5000 list since 2014. She has sold over $100 million in furniture over a 30 year career in the industry.
DeLinda started ICE from a home office in 2006 with a goal to help support her son’s Georgetown University educational goals. Since its inception, ICE has specified, sold and installed over $50 million in furniture. ICE relocated to an upscale new showroom in Carmel Valley from Carlsbad in 2012 to better service clients. DeLinda is an active member of IIDA and served as Co-Chair of IIDA San Diego NeoConnect 2009-2013, which showcases over 60 vendors and attracts 500 designers every year. Her work and coverage of the furniture industry has been published in the San Diego Business Journal, Monday Morning Quarterback and the San Diego Daily Transcript. DeLinda is very committed to the San Diego community, volunteering and fund raising for numerous organizations including the Military Outreach Ministry, TERI, ULI, NAIOP and Reality Changers.
The inspiration behind ICE remains the goals of the next generation. DeLinda continues to actively mentor many young professionals. She is passionate about family. DeLinda’s first real profession was as a dancer and her first dance job was in a family circus in Costa Rica in a bull fighting arena; things have improved since then, but DeLinda still believes life’s a circus!
